Me... Ryan was born in Spokane, Wa and now reside in Seattle, WA. I have been doing web and graphic design for about 10 years now off and on. I was once a "Noob" when it came to graphic and web design as is anybody who begins something for the first time. I first got into it when my dad learned html and created his very first web site which is still online today called www.noahark.com. This was back when the internet was still getting popular and if you posted a web site you instantly got thousands of visitors due to the fact that there was hardly any sites on the web. As for me, my first site was called www.audioscreamers.com :) I was about 15 when I began this hideous creation. I was really into car stereos and decided that I would try and sell them online. I had that site running for a few years when all of a sudden online selling started to become a popular thing and my web site began to get more and more outdated. Not to mention the new found privacy people were looking for on the web, they wouldn't just give their credit card numbers out to anybody and with the horrifying look my site presented due to lack of experience I started to lose business. This is when I had to branch out on my own. I needed to expand my knowledge and having learned everything I could from my dad a started to look for online tutorials. I started with books and written tutorials and learned as much as I could, then thought to myself "I am a visual learner, and I may be learning a lot from these books, but wouldn't it be nice if I could actually visually see rather than read the instructions." So it dawned on me... ding, ding, ding! what if someone created video tutorials? It would be sooooo much easier for people to learn, EUREKA! So I decided I was going to be the first one to create a video tutorial. Then I sadly found out that my great idea had already been thought of :( you didn't actually think I was going to tell you that I created the video tutorial did you? Anyway, I started searching sites and searching sites and... well... searching sites to find some great video tutorials that I could learn from. This is when I became disappointed :( Sure I found some good tutorials here and there, but I really didn't find what I was looking for. I think I searched like it was my 8-5 job everyday trying to find something, I desperately needed it, I wanted to learn. After months of frustration I came to the conclusion that someone had to do something about this lack of "good" video tutorials out there. So I decided that... yes... I was going to be the one to fix this worldwide catastrophe! (remember this was years ago, now you can find some decent videos out there but my site does something that those sites don't do which I will explain soon) So here I am writing this long story about me on my new site called www.webnoobie.com, which teaches "Noobs" such as you how to use some of the main products (all by adobe) to create your next web site. The one thing that I do that these other sites don't do is... I create videos upon request!! dun dun duuuuuuunnnnn! Yes you heard me correct! I create videos upon request! but read the colored print (videos upon request are based on demand and limitations to my knowledge. If a video is requested that is beyond my knowledge I will try and research it for the request but if all fails I hold the right to turn down any request that I choose :) Thank you) So there you have it, my life in a nutshell! Hope you like the videos and don't forget to leave me a good comment or drop me an email. Talk at you soon.
